Tupac Shakur was a hip hop legend born on June 16,1971 in New York, New York. He was raised only by his mother since his dad wasn’t in the picture. Tupac and his mother moved from place to place growing up because she was unstable and on drugs. He had 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Tupac was considered to be a very good kid. Growing up he participated in ballet, took acting classes, and always was involved in something. Tupac then moved once again to Oakland, California.

Tupac had his first music performance in 1991 as being a member of the group called “Digital Underground.” They created a song called “I Get Around.” But later on, he decided it would be best to make his own solo rapping career. He came out with an album in the same year called 2pacalypse. He sold 75 million albums worldwide.

Then from his rapping career, he even starred in a few movies including; Juice and Poetic Justice. He starred with famous actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, Queen Latifah, and Janet Jackson. People really started to love Tupac because of his music and the way he went about life and what he stood for. He was a huge role model for so many young kids.

Then the unexpected happened, in 1994 on November 30th Tupac Shakur was shot. He was walking around the Quad studios and people who he thought were security guards started to follow him. They ended up robbing him and shooting him five times. Rumor has it that Biggie Smalls and P. Diddy set up Tupac and hired a gang to kill him but, gladly they failed. This started a war between the East and The West, one that would soon bring Tupac to his knees.

After the terrifying experience, Suge Knight offered a deal that Tupac would sign to be the recording label of Death Row. From that moment, Tupac and Biggie started to make diss tracks which influenced the public more than they thought. Then on the day September 7th, 1996 Tupac was shot to death in a drive by shooting by supposedly one of Biggie’s fans.
