When you see news on your phone how do you know it’s accurate? Do you ever question if this information you’re receiving is actually true and not just information to hide you from the actual truth?

Even though the technology that we use now is very helpful, we sometimes depend on technology way too much. For instance, if you hear a rumor maybe about California wanting to become their own country would you believe it automatically? Or would you do your research and find out if it’s true or not? Most people would believe it without reason because it’s on websites like Google and Yahoo.

What you might not know is that when you go to a news website, most likely if it’s an, “.org” or “.com” website it probably isn’t accurate. Those types of websites are usually ran by people, who some like to call “internet trolls,” who share fake information to cause problems for others. The best websites to use are the ones that end with “.gov” because those websites either come from the government or are part of the government.
